Elbows for compact busducts are categorized by steering functions to suit diverse construction and power distribution scenarios, enabling flexible routing for complex wiring requirements.

Horizontal elbows are designed for line deflection on the same horizontal plane, with common specifications of 90° and 45°. They are widely used in factory workshops, equipment rooms, underground parking lots and other planar spaces. This type of fitting is ideal when busducts need to bypass walls, columns and large equipment, or run horizontally along walls and floors. It is well-suited for power distribution layouts on single floors or within the same storey of large industrial plants, shopping malls and similar facilities.

Vertical elbows serve for vertical line transition and are essential components for high-rise buildings, commercial and residential complexes as well as office buildings. Primarily installed in electrical shafts and floor passages, they realize vertical power transmission between floors. Featuring reinforced structures to withstand vertical loads, they ensure stable power supply and perfectly match the layered power distribution mode of high-rises.

Combination elbows integrate multi-directional turning functions, including Z-type and special-shaped transitions. They apply to constrained spaces with intersecting beams and columns as well as dense pipelines, such as building mezzanines and equipment-concentrated areas, accomplishing horizontal and vertical multi-angle deflection in one piece. All three types of elbows can be seamlessly connected with main busduct sections, making them applicable to large and medium-sized power distribution projects in industrial, commercial and general building sectors.

 

Installation Requirements

 

Installation of elbows for compact busducts shall be carried out in strict accordance with specifications to ensure safe and stable operation of the power distribution system. Prior to installation, verify that the model and angle of elbows match on-site working conditions. Inspect the enclosure, insulators and conductor bars for deformation, damage or stains. Any defective fittings are prohibited from use.

Handle the products gently during hoisting and positioning to prevent impact and bending, which may damage the internal insulation structure. When connecting horizontal, vertical and combination elbows to straight busduct sections, align the joints with even gaps. Fasten connecting bolts uniformly in compliance with standard torque to avoid looseness and misalignment.

For vertically mounted vertical elbows, install load-bearing supports and additional fixing brackets properly to prevent sagging and displacement caused by self-weight. Due to the complex structure of combination elbows, strictly control the installation angle and routing to adapt to on-site pipeline layout, and refrain from forced alignment that may damage components.

Upon completion of installation, inspect the overall tightness and insulation performance, and remove debris from joints. Take protective measures to prevent construction dust and water from entering the cavity. Power-on trial operation is allowed only after full acceptance inspection passes.
