Busway Horizontal Elbow

Elbows are critical components in the busway system, designed to address challenges posed by architectural structures. In scenarios such as floor transitions or bypassing columns, they adjust the busway routing to optimize current paths and enhance power transmission efficiency. Based on internal conductor fabrication methods, elbows are categorized into horizontal and vertical types. Horizontal elbows, in particular, feature a simplified manufacturing process where conductors undergo a single-step bending operation using press brakes, eliminating the need for complex secondary processing. 1.L-Type Busway Horizontal Elbows:

Among these, 90°elbows are the most widely used type, offering optimal adaptability for directional changes. In terms of connection methods, both ends of the elbow are joined to other busway sections via specially designed busway connectors. The main structure is consistent with that of straight busway segments, ensuring that after installation, neither the ampacity nor the protection rating of the busway system will be affected, fully meeting the original design specifications.

2.Z-Type Busway Horizontal Elbows:

A Z-type horizontal elbow is equivalent to a combination of two 90-degree L-type horizontal elbows. Though it is used less frequently than the L-type elbow, its functionality plays a crucial role in complex power distribution environments. It can skillfully bypass obstacles without altering the overall current transmission direction, effectively avoiding interference to the power system caused by line rerouting and making the current path more flexible.
