Breakthroughs Achieved in Busbar Trunking Connection and Protection Technologies, Pushing Industry Safety and Reliability to New Heights

Watt Electric has enhanced the stability of plug-in structures and resolved long-standing challenges in connection reliability. As core equipment for power transmission, the stability of busbar trunking plug-in joints directly determines the safe operation of the entire power distribution system. To address common drawbacks of conventional busbar joints such as loose connections and poor contact after long-term service, Watt Electric has independently developed an innovative plug-in joint structure for low-voltage compact busbar trunking.

This technology adopts positioning platforms integrated on the busbar housing and optimizes the fitting configuration between plug-in bases and side panels. The product consists of a housing fitted with conductive bars, side panels mounted adjacent to the conductors, and plug-in bases installed on the outer sides of paired side panels. The design substantially reinforces the structural stability of plug-in joints and eliminates the hidden risk of loosening under vibrational operating conditions.

Quanhui Electric has recently launched a non-destructive plug-in technology that fundamentally prevents oxidation damage to copper plates. In daily operation of busbar trunking, oxidation at plug-in copper terminals is a primary cause of elevated contact resistance, excessive temperature rise and even equipment failures. Targeting this universal industry pain point, Quanhui Electric has obtained a patent for busbar trunking with non-destructive plug-in design.

The patented technology leverages an innovative linked cover plate mechanism to enable damage-free plug-in operations. When the cover plate is pushed outward, it clamps the exterior of the primary copper plate and delivers sealing on both sides. As the cover plate shifts, a rear bracket drives the top plate into position, completing plug-in installation while effectively blocking oxidation of the busbar copper plates.

Huaxiong Electric has developed a self-checking monitoring module, shifting protection mode from passive isolation to active early warning. The company has filed a patent for a plug-in monitoring module structure with built-in self-test functions.

The monitoring module performs real-time self-inspection on busbar plug-in sections and automatically cuts off power upon detecting abnormal conditions to deliver reliable protection. This technology upgrades busbar trunking from simple power transmission hardware to intelligent distribution nodes with active sensing and early warning capabilities, delivering superior safety guarantees for high-reliability scenarios including data centers, rail transit and industrial plants.
