Driven by the dual forces of rapid technological iteration in low-voltage power distribution equipment and the continuous upgrading of market demand, critical breakthroughs have been achieved in the standardization of the industry. On December 4, 2024, the China International Council for the Promotion of Economic and Technological Cooperation (CICETC) officially issued and implemented the group standard T/CIET 855-2024 Technical Specifications for Low-Voltage Cast Resin Busducts, establishing a clear benchmark for the production, inspection and application of such core power distribution products. This standard systematically defines the applicable environmental conditions, basic requirements for design and manufacturing, core technical indicators, and corresponding test verification methods of low-voltage cast resin busducts. In particular, it formulates detailed and operable quantitative regulations for key indicators crucial to product operational safety, such as insulation performance, protection levels adapted to different scenarios, and fire resistance characteristics for responding to sudden risks, filling the standard gaps in some segmented fields.

Keeping pace with industrial development, the Council further intensified its efforts in standardization and approved the issuance of Amendment No. 1 to the group standard T/CIET 968-2025 General Technical Specifications for Mineral-Insulated Compact Busducts on March 23, 2025. Based on market application feedback and technological innovation achievements, this revision has targeted the optimization and improvement of key technical parameters, test procedures and judgment criteria in the original standard, further enhancing the standard's scientificity, practicality and forward-looking nature, and ensuring that the standard always keeps pace with the industry's technological development level.

The intensive introduction of this series of group standards provides an important technical basis for regulating the market competition order and guiding the healthy and orderly development of busduct product technology. Meanwhile, it also offers clear and actionable technical support for relevant departments to conduct product quality supervision and inspection, industry associations to promote self-regulatory management, and enterprises to carry out production, R&D and quality control. These standards will effectively drive the improvement of the overall quality level of the industry and lay a solid foundation for the safe and stable operation of low-voltage power distribution systems.
