Recently, the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China (SAC) has joined hands with the China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association (CEEIA) to enhance the busbar trunking industry standard system. This initiative has not only released two group standards-Technical Requirements for Intelligent Busbar Trunking (T/CIET 968-2025) and Green Low-Carbon Products - Compact Busbar Trunking (T/CIET 1057-2025)-but also revised national standards including GB 7251.6-2025, filling gaps in standards and enhancing technical indicators.

Under the newly added group standards, intelligent busbar trunking must integrate real-time monitoring of temperature (with an accuracy of ±1℃) and current, as well as remote fault early warning functions. For green low-carbon busbar trunking, the standards specify that the resistivity of copper conductors shall be ≤ 0.0177Ω・mm²/m and incorporate the whole-life cycle carbon emission evaluation. The revised national standards have strengthened safety thresholds: for fire resistance, products must pass a 960℃ glow-wire test (with fire resistance grades divided into three levels: 60/120/180 minutes); for corrosion resistance, a salt spray test requirement has been added; and the enclosure protection level shall be ≥ IP54.

The standard upgrade will accelerate market purification, with approximately 20% of substandard low-end production capacity to be phased out. Meanwhile, it will guide enterprises to focus on R&D in intelligence and energy efficiency, and some enterprises have already launched compliant products. For small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while short-term investments of 15%-20% of costs are needed for technical upgrades, they can apply for special subsidies. In the long run, unified standards will facilitate fair competition, allowing SMEs to deepen their presence in niche areas such as photovoltaic-specific and explosion-proof busbar trunking. Currently, the CEEIA has launched standard promotion and training programs to help enterprises meet compliance requirements.

This optimization has set safety and energy efficiency baselines for busbar trunking, driving the industry's transformation from "traditional manufacturing" to "intelligent + green" development and supporting the upgrading of power systems in the construction and industrial sectors.
