In 2026, with the implementation of new standards for the power distribution industry and the upgrading of downstream application scenarios, the busduct sector has witnessed an upsurge in new product iteration. Focusing on four major development directions - intelligence, high protection, light weight and low carbon emission - numerous manufacturers have launched innovative products, pushing performance to new heights. These offerings cater to diverse engineering demands from data centers, new energy projects, chemical plants to super high-rise buildings, driving the industry toward high-quality development.
Smart busducts stand out as a key R&D focus and the fastest-growing product category. Equipped with high-precision sensors, edge computing and IoT modules, the new generation enables real-time monitoring of current, temperature rise and insulation conditions, and activates multi-level automatic alerts upon abnormalities, greatly cutting down failure response time. Featuring modular design, these products support hot swapping and on-load capacity expansion, well suited to the dynamic load of AI computing centers. Their market penetration in high-end data centers and large industrial parks has exceeded 70%.
For harsh working conditions such as chemical facilities and underground pipe galleries, new types of fully sealed busducts have been launched. Adopting patented sealing structures and optimized housing joints, they achieve a steady protection rating of IP65 to IP68 with outstanding waterproof, dustproof and anti-corrosion performance. The improved partially cast busduct breaks the limitations of traditional fully cast products. It maintains superior protection while reducing epoxy resin consumption, product weight and production costs. Local damage can be repaired separately, effectively solving the maintenance difficulties of conventional designs.
Technological breakthroughs have also been achieved in fire-resistant and lightweight busducts. New fire-resistant models adopt special insulating materials and can maintain power supply for over 180 minutes at 950°C, meeting fire safety requirements for subways, hospitals and other critical venues. Lightweight high-current busducts for super high-rises optimize conductor structures to reduce overall dimensions without compromising current-carrying capacity, striking a balance between space efficiency and power transmission performance.
Guided by the dual-carbon goals, eco-friendly products gain wide popularity. Most new products adopt halogen-free, low-smoke and non-toxic materials together with high-purity conductor bars, which reduce line losses and carbon emissions throughout the product lifecycle. The continuous launch of new products is phasing out backward production capacity. Currently, technological innovation and customized solution capabilities have become core competitiveness, steering the busduct industry toward refined, intelligent and systematic development.
